St Elizabeth’s (Ashley Church) is in the village of Ashley, near Altrincham. Built in 1880, St Elizabeth's is a beautiful building, full of charm and character.
Services are on Sunday mornings starting at 11.00am - as follows:
1st Sunday of the month --- we call our Community Service, taken by one of our own, with occasional guest speakers. Jim and Ali run the church cafe immediatley after the service - visit the cafe page for details.
2nd Sunday -- usually led by John Moss, a Lay reader from St. Peter's - either an All Age Service, or Prayer Book Matins.
3rd Sunday - Holy Communion, led by Revd. Keith Hine ( now retired, previously Vicar of Bowdon, and Tarporley).
4th Sunday -- again Communion, led by either our Vicar, or Curate.
occasional 5th Sunday - often an informal service.
In addition to the weekly services, St Elizabeth's is very poular for weddings and christenings.
At St Elizabeth's, we are very welcoming and have a friendly, informal and inclusive ethos. On special occasions, e.g. Harvest, Christingle, Christmas, Easter and The Rose Queen Service, the St Elizabeth's is full of residents, families, children and visitors from Ashley and surrounding areas - all are welcome to join us and participate in the life of this wonderful rural community church.
